Global Capital Diversity Participates in the 19th China International Fair for Investment Trade (CIFIT)

With the conclusion of the G20 Hangzhou Summit held in China in September 2016, the focus turned to the city of Xiamen which played host to the 19th China International Fair for Investment Trade (CIFIT).

This year, it was a great honour for Global Capital Diversity (GCD) to participate in the Fair as one of a record-breaking number of Australian enterprises to take part in the delegation in 2016. This year, CIFIT attracted nearly 120,000 business people and 5000 enterprises from more than 100 countries and regions during the four day event.

During the four days, GCD was involved in a number of B2B meetings, workshops and VIP forums which were attended by a large number of VIP’s including members of diplomatic missions from across the globe and China’s state and Party leaders.

The highlight of the trip, without doubt, was the partnership-signing event between GCD and the Guangzhou Airport Investment Co. The occasion formalized an agreement for GCD to act as partner of choice to assist the Guangzhou Airport Investment Co. in developing the first China-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Business Park in the Canton province – a truly unique and exciting project.

The recently signed Sino-Australia free trade agreement (FTA) has definitely meant a boost in bilateral economic ties and CIFIT served as another impetus to deepen economic cooperation between GCD and Chinese enterprises.

The CIFIT proved to be a glowing success with many opportunities being presented by China, focusing on its Belt and Road Initiative and Australian companies, like GCD highlighting their competitive advantage across projects in various fields ranging from agriculture, health care, finance, real estate, tourism and management consulting services.
